This past month I hit an important milestone. As some of you might know, I’ve been preparing for college this fall (I’m relatively young, I suppose). Scholarships cover about half the cost. Another third come from grants. The rest will come from… this website.

Yes, my income from this website has finally reached the point where I should get through college without debt. Within the next few months my income should grow to the point of being a complete full-time income. It’s exciting.

Since I started with the goal of making money talking about financial planning, a lot of people (in real life and online) have contacted me asking for help to start as well. To answer those questions, I started How to Make Money Online — a free “mini-website” to explaining how you can do the same thing I’ve done.

I just finished up the most important article of the site, which is basically a free instruction booklet. It explains the 10 setps to earning an online income.

I’ve managed this website less than 8 months. In the next 8 months, I have no doubt my income will be increasing, especially as I’m on the verge of reaching the first page of Google for phrases like “savings account” (I’m on page 2 right now).
