As you’ve probably noticed, commenting wasn’t enabled… until today!
I originally didn’t allow commenting due to a complete lack of time: I was working full time, taking an (almost) full load of classes and was writing several articles per week for the site — this ended up being a full-time job and a half, and managing comments and deleting spam would have been the straw that broke the camel’s back.
So you can now comment. I’m excited to see what you’ll be saying. A few guidelines/restrictions:
- Please be nice. Many people from all walks of life read the website, and there’s no reason to make it uncomfortable for other readers.
- No sheep allowed. Please challenge what we write here if you disagree. I love a great discussion. We often write about economics and politics, so feel free to launch into an argument or two — just make sure you keep it civil, and give reasons for your opinions.
- I’m a dictator. I’m sure there are always going to be freaky comments that I’ll delete, even if the reason isn’t listed here. If you think I’ve deleted a comment without merit, just contact me and plead your case.
- No spam. Feel free to link to any page on your website or blog — just know that all links are “NoFollow” here, meaning you won’t be getting link juice from Google. I have to do this in order to keep the spam down, so I’m sure you’ll understand.
- Contact = Comment. If you think of something you want to ask me, just comment on the latest article. I read all comments and will respond there. If you have a more personal question for me, email me at shaunconnell@gmail.com
That should be it. I’m excited to hear what you have to say!
