Hey Sean,

Obviously, every businessperson has their own method of handling the workload when business gets consuming. I'm a huge fan of outsourcing any extra work I incur on myself.

Have you ever read the 4-Hour Workweek by Timothy Ferriss? It's one of the most powerful books I've read, and is what caused me to start my entire ordeal online. I owe almost everything to the book. It answers your question about handling the workload. I would summarize it, but honestly, it's just a book you need to read for yourself.

About the many interests: plan out a website for each of your interests, and then decide which site you'll do first. Each website needs to be based on a specific keyword (this website is based on "financial planning" for example).

So, plan one on graphic design/animation, another on another of your interests, and so on. Just stick with one website until you succeed.

To learn more about how I build websites based on a keyword, check out this article:

Thanks, Sean. Let me know what you decide. :)

I've always been thinking about starting my own business simply because I agree with what you say in your article "Why you should never get a job". I feel humans have a bigger capacity to help and be more effective and straight-forward when they do something they love and aren't mediated by a static hierarchy.
When I first got the add-on Stumble-Upon for Firefox, your site was one of the first I came across and hit a certain cord within me. You said a lot of things I believe about retail and office jobs.
Long story short; I've done several years of retail and been to college to get a degree in Animation. While I hold a huge range of intense interests, I always felt I have what it takes to start my own business. I just never knew how to start it.
While I am a skeptic by nature, I also feel this way is a great and safe way to start off something I've been thinking about for a while.
You make it clear to contact you about anything and I do have a question that maybe you can help guide. What do I do a site on when I have so many interests? I've always thought about starting my own Graphic Design business, but considering there is only me and tons of traffic generated, how does one handle the load of clients without hiring help?
Just a curious question.
Hope to hear from you.
